EXHIBITION

Exhibitions are public events designed to showcase medieval combat skills. They are less formal, with a focus on education and entertainment rather than competitive results. Match results are not officially recorded by MCUSA, and a marshal trainee may be present instead of a certified marshal.

These events can be hosted and attended by only one team, but MCUSA recommends that the Event Host invites nearby teams to participate. Exhibitions can be run with either a traditional tournament format or without a strict format. 

Must Know's for Hosting

Hosting your own event with MCUSA doesn't have to be hard! There are three event types available for MCUSA endorsement: Exhibition, Training Camp, or Buhurt International event. Each event type has a different set of criteria set forth by MCUSA and BI (where applicable).

 

However, all event types endorsed by MCUSA must have the following:

Event Space & Staff:
• The Host Team must have at least 5 MCUSA registered members. 

2m/6ft Safety Perimeter around the List

• Digital Registration for competitors with a Liability and Media Release Waiver

• Designated Safe Space & Safe Space Advocate

• Minimum of 1 (non-fighting) medical personnel with kit 

• Minimum of 1 BI certified marshal or BI marshal trainee (Exhibition Events Only)

• Minimum of 1 Secretary

Event Competitors: 

• Every competitor must be an MCUSA Member

• For BI level group fights, a minimum of 4, 5 man teams or 3 women's teams must be present. 

• Completed Sports Physical or Health Eligibility Form 

• Personal Medical Insurance
