ELIGIBLE EVENT TYPES
Exhibition Fights
Exhibitions are public events designed to showcase medieval combat skills. They are less formal, with a focus on education and entertainment rather than competitive results. Match results aren't officially recorded by MC USA. A marshal or marshal trainee must be in attendance for safety purposes.

These can be hosted and attended by only one team, but we recommend that the host invite nearby teams to participate. They can be run as a traditional tournament format or as more informal fights.
Buhurt International Certified Tournament
Buhurt International tournaments adhere to strict rules set by both MCUSA and the international governing body. These events feature a variety of combat formats, including duels, outrance, and melees.

Tournaments are categorized into different levels: Classic, Regional, and Conference, each with its own specific requirements.

To ensure proper certification, tournament requests must be submitted to Medieval Combat USA at least 30 days in advance. Once approved by MC USA, the event host may move forward with BI registration.
Training Camps
Training camps provide a structured environment for fighters to practice and improve their skills. To qualify for MCUSA sponsorship and insurance, multiple teams must participate in the camp.
All rules and regulations governing the structure of the tournament and armor and weapon regulations are posted on Buhurt International’s website.
READ THE RULES
Obtaining Medieval Combat USA endorsement for your event is a great way to showcase your team and attract participants. But before you submit your request, it's crucial to familiarize yourself with our event policy. This policy outlines the types of events eligible for endorsement, along with important requirements and recommendations. Understanding these details ensures a smooth application process and helps you plan a successful event.
POST-EVENT RESPONSIBILITIES
For BI certified tournaments, the event organizer must submit top three placements, award ceremony photos, MVPs, and highlight photos within three days of the end of the event. Within seven days, provide tournament scoresheets, competitor lists, staff list, injury reports, and should do an After Action Report request. AAR results should be shared with MC USA as well.

The Head Marshal of your event must submit a list of warnings, cards, rebukes, and marshal staff within one week.
