Step into the roaring arena where medieval tradition meets elite modern athleticism! The California Classic 2026 is returning as a premier feature of the Fresno Scottish Highland Gathering and Games. Hosted by The Company of the Gauntlet and Rose and sponsored by Medieval Combat USA (MC USA), this high-stakes tournament brings the absolute best armored combat athletes in the region together to clash in a brutal, full-contact 5v5 melee tournament.
This is an officially ranked Buhurt International (BI) Classic-Level Tournament. Forget choreographed stage fights—this is the real deal. Competitors suit up in authentic historical steel armor and wield rebated swords, axes, and shields, fighting at full force for international ranking points.
