It's you. Maybe you've been putting off registering for Medieval Combat USA because time got away from you. Maybe you registered with MC USA, but never completed your fighter profile and signed up for a Buhurt International license. Now the deadline is fast approaching, and you realized that your duels stats and team's melee scores are going to be totally wiped for tournaments you fought in earlier this year.

You've got questions? I've got answers.

How do I check whether I'm licensed?

Go to Medieval Combat USA's site and log in. Go to your profile. If you see a little "Competitor" badge, that's it, you're subscribed. If not, you'll need to sign up for a paid membership here.

Go to Buhurt International's fighter list and check to see if your name is on the list. If it's not on the list, you're not licensed. Once you purchase an MC USA membership, you should receive instructions on how to sign up with Buhurt International.

Something's wrong, I am definitely already registered with MC USA and licensed with Buhurt International, but I'm not showing up.

If you have a membership plan but aren't showing up, send us an email.

If you think you already completed a BI license but you're not showing up as a licensed fighter, send us a bank statement with payment to BI for 15 Euros BEFORE THE DEADLINE and we'll get it figured out.

I'm not licensed, but my duels stats and rank are on the BI site. Do I still need to sign up?

Yes, stats for unlicensed fighters will be removed on July 1.

I'm licensed with BI, but not all of my stats are on the website. What gives?

Buhurt International is holding off on adding some of the recent rankings until July 1 to ensure that only licensed fighters are included in the stats. Check back in early July. If you are missing stats at that time, reach out to Buhurt International on their Contact Us page.

What's the deadline to get my Buhurt International license? I know it says June 30th, but what time exactly? What if it's midnight? What if it's 1AM on July 1?

I'm not in charge over at BI and I'm not sure, but do you really want to push your luck and find out? Just do it by midnight local time wherever you are located.

Do I really need photos of myself in armor from the front, back, and sides, both with and without tabard? I don't have them right now, can I add them later?

Yes, you really need them. No, you can't add them later. Yes, our faithful authenticity folks are checking the photos starting July 1 and if you upload something obviously fake or something that isn't you in armor, they will flag you and may remove your license. Go take the photos!

I'm a team captain, how do I get my team set up with Buhurt International?

You will need to have at least five licensed members in order to create a team. Log in to the Buhurt International site and check for your team's name. If it doesn't come up, you'll need to register the team and select your five members. Only one person can be the designated team captain at a time, and this person will be solely responsible for adding and removing team members. Choose wisely. Team captains can be transferred via a transfer code, but you need the previous captain to cooperate to give you the code.

I'm trying to register a team, but my fighters are already members of another team. What do I do?

A fighter must be released by their currently assigned team captain back into the open pool of fighters. Once they are in the open pool, you can spend a transfer token to add them to your team. Keep in mind that each team gets ten transfer tokens per year. New fighters who have never been assigned to a team are freebies and will not cost transfer tokens to add to your team. If a fighter was added by another team in error, reach out to us at medievalcombat.usa@gmail.com and we'll investigate it and ask BI to correct it, if necessary.

I only do marshalling, authenticity, or other tournament support work. Do I need to worry about this?

No, only fighters need to go through the Buhurt International license process. Marshals and authenticity staff have special BI profiles that are individually assigned on a case by case basis. Reach out to the Head Marshal or Authenticity Officer for instructions on how to make that happen.
